In my opinion, choosing a person as my roommate is an important issue, because I will spend more than half of my day along with them. I am not a smoker, alcoholic, or drug user; then these are the basic qualities to start to find a person as my roommate. After choosing a proper fellow, there is usually a conversation to set up some rules to start to live together. I have seen several roommates whom they were trying to legislate their own rules, and ask us to follow them. It is some kind of childishness and arrogance, because in most cases, it shows that it is their first time to be far away from their home. Over time, they feel that it is really hard to follow and bear with their own rules. So, breaking the rules is beginning, and then some argues will rise up. Because of this matter which had happened for me few times, I would rather to choose those ones whom they have the experiences of living with some roommates before. Understanding the facts and issues which are related to my age has a little bit obscurity for young roommates. In most cases they are noisy, irrespective, irresponsible, and immature. Therefore, the next qualities are having good-relationship, respectfulness, reliability, and most importantly maturity. Of course it is really hard to find someone who fits in all of above qualities. I myself would rather to choose an even elder roommate than those whom even have the same age as me. Elder roommates are experienced, and sometimes they are very good advisers when I need someone to help me. Of course, I need to bind yourself to treat them with more respect.
