Superb house in the historic rural village of Sheriff Hutton, North Yorkshire (half way between York & Malton). 5 miles from Castle Howard Stately Home; 10 miles from the market towns of Easingwold & Malton; City of York with its’ many attractions is just 30 minutes drive away by car (10 miles). Ample private off-street parking on the driveway at front of the property. Delightful rear garden. Secure storage for bicycles or motorbikes in garage. Shared use of the dining area of our kitchen. You will find everything you need to make hot drinks or prepare light snacks and you can use the fridge to store your own food. You're welcome to use the kettle, toaster and microwave, anything else please just ask. In the morning you will find the dining table set for a light breakfast of fruit juice, cereals and/or bread for toast (with butter and jams) available for you to help yourself. Please note: We are served by a rural bus service: 180/181 (day-time, Monday-Saturday only) - personal transport needed to get the most out of your stay. Local walks, including self-guided village stroll to explore the 14th century castle ruins and the parish church which contains a wealth of historical interest.
